Announcing the Pancreatic Cancer Working Group Newsletter

I am pleased to announce the launch of a new monthly newsletter covering major research developments in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Issue 1, covering April 2026, is now live on Substack.

Pancreatic cancer is among the most lethal malignancies in oncology, with a five-year survival rate still below 15% and a literature that moves quickly across basic, translational, and clinical domains. Keeping pace is a challenge for specialists and a near-impossibility for those of us who also care for patients, run labs, and write grants. The newsletter is my attempt at a partial solution: a curated, opinionated monthly read through the PDAC research landscape, with enough editorial framing to help readers decide what is worth engaging in depth.

Coverage spans clinical trials, translational science, basic biology and tumor microenvironment research, methods and datasets. The intended audience is the Mayo Pancreatic Cancer Working Group, but the content will be accessible to any clinician-scientist, trainee, or researcher working adjacent to this disease.

Issue 1 highlights include:

A dedicated Special Report on AACR 2026 will follow in early May.

Subscriptions are free. New issues arrive near the end of each month.

Feedback and suggestions for future coverage are welcome. If you are working on something in PDAC that deserves broader attention, reach out directly.
